Probably one of the most common and at the same time dreaded questions that you might hear when meeting people online is “What do you like to do for fun?“
Even though it may sound like a very simple question, that’s where most people struggle because you never know what your match wants to hear.
Obviously, you don’t want to say something that will make your match lose interest but at the same time, you probably don’t want to lie about your hobbies and interests either.
The best way to answer this question is by being honest.
Don’t try to be someone you’re not just because you think that’s what your match is looking for.
Sooner or later, they will realize that you faking it and it’s just going to end up being a waste of time for both of you.
It is also usually a good idea to avoid answering this question with something generic like “I like to watch TV” or “I like to go out with friends“.
Not only does it make you sound boring, but it also doesn’t show much of your personality.
A better answer would be something that gives your matches more insight into who you are and what you like to do.
For example, if you like to stay active, you could say something like “When I am not working, you’ll usually find me playing tennis, working out at the gym, or taking dance classes.”
If you’re more of a nature lover, you could say something like “I love hiking and being outdoors! I really enjoy finding new trails and taking nature photos.”
